The TimeStat Block for Moodle 1.9 is an innovative analytical tool that allowed you to track user time on site and in activities and resources. If you're looking to track time on task or spend online on your Moodle 1.9 site, this was the ticket. According to the database entry,
Timestat block allows to precisely measure activity time which users spent in course. Measured time is increased only when user perform operations using mouse or keyboard inside active Moodle window. This is done via JavaScript included in application through print_footer() function. What is more this application allows to display time spent in each of the modules individually.
Unfortunately due to time and resources constraints the popular Moodle Addon never made the jump to Moodle 2.x (we plan to initially support Moodle 2.5/2.6). With interest this Addon can be upgraded to Moodle 2.x and re-released to the community at Moodle.org to be used. Łukasz Sanokowski, the original maintainer has agreed to move forward with rewriting the code for Moodle 2.x if our funding goal is matched. Łukasz estimates that it will take approximately €800, I am looking to raise $1,200 to fund the project and contribute 10% to Moodle.org.
Development will take approximately one month (from the date of the funding goal being met).
